Businesses in Derby are being given the opportunity to join a FaB new networking group which is launching in the city this month.
The Midlands’ premier business support and networking organisation, FaB Networking, has identified Derby as the perfect location for the next phase of its expansion across the region and is inviting local businesses to a special event launching the new fortnightly meetings.
The Derby group is being run by Rob Fryers and Georgia Bennett of RF HR Solutions, which provides consultancy, advice and managed HR solutions for small businesses, and will be held at their new premises at 155 Uttoxeter New Road on the second and last Tuesdays of the month.
These begin with the launch event on Tuesday, September 26 (6pm-8pm).
To celebrate the launch of the new group, any businesses signing up on the night will not have to pay the one-off £99 joining fee. Membership is £45 per month, including attendance and refreshments at networking events.
Derby is the fifth group to be added to the FaB Networking family, which already has established groups operating successfully in Tamworth, Nuneaton and Hinckley and a fourth launches in Rugby on September 19.
As members of FaB Networking Tamworth, Rob and Georgia experienced the business benefits of the organisation first hand and wanted to bring the FaB concept to Derby after relocating RF HR Solutions to the city earlier this year.
Rob and Georgia said: “FaB Networking is great and it has been really beneficial for our business. We’ve developed a very strong business community in the Tamworth and Lichfield areas through our networking and we now want to replicate this in our new location of Derby. We’re very excited about launching FaB Networking Derby and we can’t wait to meet our new business neighbours.
“The FaB Networking format is very relaxed and friendly and everyone will get a warm welcome. It also provides the perfect opportunity for business owners to meet, share ideas and resources and build a local business community that delivers real opportunities for all.
“We’d encourage anyone who is interested to come along to the launch and find out what it’s all about. Any new members signing up on the night won’t have to pay the £99 joining fee, so it’s well worth popping along.”
FaB Networking has more than 80 members across the Midlands, who are all part of the FaB community. It has also teamed up with Juliette Ryley of ActionCOACH – the world’s number one business consulting firm, and all networking meetings include education slots or activities designed to propel businesses to the next level.
FaB Networking founder and director, Amanda Bourne, said: “The FaB Networking ethos is to help local businesses reach their full growth potential by helping them to connect, sell and save. All members receive support in working towards their business goals, through educational opportunities and business growth through our speakers and partner organisations, as well as through shared experiences of members.
“We’re currently going from strength to strength across the Midlands and look forward to Derby businesses joining the FaB family.”
FaB Networking Derby has a one-seat policy and is aiming to grow to 40-plus members across a range of industries and sectors.
